When we left Alice at 7:30 in the morning it was -2deg so it was very cold which made it hard to pack up the camper.
We turned
off to the Tanami Road at about 7:50am ready for our long drive.
We arrived
at Tilmouth about 9:30am filled up with fuel and it was so windy and cold we
decided to buy a cup of tea from the
servo which was very nice as we go to have it inside out of the cold and even
watched a bit of TV.
Kerry purchased a
painting from the locals and it was very nice.
It is now
10:30 and back on the road as we were not sure of the conditions. There seemed to be a lot more tar this time
as it has been 3 years since we travelled this road and things change.
Even the dirt road did not seem that
bad. The boy let air out of the tyres so
that made a big difference to our ride.
Now it is
12:00pm Kerry & Neville found a spot for lunch which was the turnoff to
Vaughan Springs, so there for as long as it takes to make a sandwich and back
in the car.
Now it was
starting to get a bit uncomfortable in the car so it must be time to find a
camp site as it was 4:00pm and Paul knew there was a camp site 3ks from Rabbit
Flat and in off the road about 1k and it was just fine for us.
