Karajini Day 23

Saturday 25th August  Day

We had 2 big walks today so out of camp early 7:30am as it is going to be a hot day.  We arrived at the car park all out of our cars and Nev locked his keys in the car so the boys discovered a way to break in and get them out.

Now it was off on our walk down some stairs to the bottom of the valley very pretty.  Once down we had to enter some water which was deep Pete accidently found a very deep hole and as he was carrying the back pack everything got wet.

First walk is Handrail pool:  We came to a little pool of water and Ian was going to take a group photo and accidently fell over camera and all.  What an eventful walk, narrow sections between the gorge and very slippery. Now we are at the hand rail into the pool very steep and getting down was difficult and the guys had to help the girls.

Now the next walk Hancock gorge this was easy to start with until we came to a section with water and we had to hang onto rocks and walk sideways so we did not fall into the water.  Robin and I sat in the amphitheatre and waited for the other as they went further into the spider walk and Kermit’s pool.

Now back at camp we all did a bit of washing and sat around as it was very hot.
The shackle went to Nev that night for locking keys in his car.
