Roebourne Day 27

Wednesday 29^th August 

 Pauls Birthday today.   Another free day to explore the area so off to Dampier called into the visitors centre on the way to find out all the tourist things to see.  On the way were salt pods which we could see from a lookout.  Now onto see red dog statue took some photos then followed others out to Hearson Cove to see rock carvings and the beautiful beach with some lovely shells.

We continued on to the Burrip gas plant to have a look at the visitor centre very interesting place.  Now it is lunch time and decided to go into Dampier to a very nice park with palm trees and eventually everyone met us there.

Back in Karratha to do some shopping before heading onto Roebourne to get the washing in and pack to move onto the next place tomorrow.

Early happy hour and presents for Paul we decided to have a big BBQ for dinner as there was a good camp kitchen with BBQ facilities and it was very good and we even had cake afterwards.

Now it is time to find out who gets the shackle tonight and it is Fitzys for leaving his tooth paste in the camp kitchen in the morning and closing his camper with phone in it as they stayed with friends tonight.
